# What’s the difference between the refund policy and the pass guarantee?

They cover opposite ends of the journey. The **refund** (60 days, any reason) protects you from “this isn’t what I expected.” The **pass guarantee** isn’t a refund at all: your access never expires while this edition is current, so you sit the exam as many times as you need to pass ($15 per attempt to the state) and the course is still there for every one of them. One policy is about the course; the other is about never running out of attempts. Both are stated on the [course page](https://nynotaryexamprep.com/course/) and neither requires a phone call.
